James Kirner is a leading expert in business sales and communication, known for his ability to cut through the noise and identify the critical factors that drive business performance. With a talent for analysing real-world situations and creating positive outcomes, James works alongside business owners to deliver tangible results.
He specialises in helping New Zealand SMEs find clarity and direction in the face of complexity-supporting stronger decision-making and long-term business growth.
James began his career on the workshop floor as a Master Tradesman. Over the past 30 years, he has supported businesses nationwide, covering a wide range of industries including harvesting, processing, manufacturing, and sales generation.
His hands-on experience managing service, marketing, and production teams led to senior management roles in three multinational corporations. This real-world leadership experience now informs his work in business consulting-where he helps owners navigate change, improve sales systems, and unlock new potential.
Now based in North Canterbury, James is passionate about giving back to the small and medium-sized businesses he has supported throughout his career. He works with both first-time entrepreneurs and established companies, offering practical strategies for growth and business development.

James is a director of two businesses-one global and focused on personal development and wealth creation, and the other local, working directly with business owners to overcome challenges and pursue their vision.

James lives in North Canterbury with his wife, Bex. When he’s not working, he enjoys fishing, diving, and exploring the South Island’s beautiful coastlines. A natural adventurer, he’s proud to be a father of three and grandfather of five-committed to staying young at heart.
