Jim Wicks is Managing Director of Cultivating Leadership and is a trustee of the Growth Edge Network. He is a certified coach, and has a Master of Commerce and post graduate Dip.HRM.
Jim’s core area of interest is supporting people and organisations to grow and develop, taking joy in seeing the success of others. His practical technical and leadership experience is complemented by a deep knowledge of adult development concepts, understanding of ideas and approaches relating to complex adaptive systems and a quest to bring those ideas to life for the greater good.
Recent clients have included an Australian ‘big 4’ professional services firm, a US-based global technology company, a variety of NZ government departments and the Global Women’s Leadership programme.
Jim is a ‘Kiwi’ but lives in Cork, Ireland with his wife (their two children are grown up). When he isn’t working with clients internationally, Jim can be found out in the hills on a bicycle, or in the kitchen.
About The Programme
The programme runs over a period of three months and combines a range of learning approaches to enable everyone to maximise their learning experience. This is achieved by using the real work that people do as the fuel for learning, rather than only discussing theories or adding more work to what is already an intensive programme.
The three months starts with some pre-work (not too much) and this is followed by a 2 day workshop. After the workshop, two action learning groups made up from participants and facilitated by one of the trainers continues the learning. A second 2 day workshop follows after three months and this is followed by an offer of 1:1 coaching.
